Last year I witnessed and photographed some absolutely amazing weddings, and spent my year getting to know some pretty incredible couples!
THIS year, I have a blog. And I thought it was about time I showed the world just how much fun I had along the way!
And what better wedding to kick start than Siobhan and Mike’s.
We met for our first consultation in Altrincham. I was greeted straight away with an excitable smile from Siobhan and a handshake from Mike. They sat together opposite me, and began to tell me all about their plans for a tipi wedding set on a farm style venue in the Peak District. Their faces were lighting up as they continued to tell me about their wedding, and it’s safe to say, I got very excited, very quickly! With plans to make metres of handmade bunting, bridesmaids in yellow dresses and D.I.Y wedding details, I could not WAIT for their wedding to come around!
On the big day, I met Siobhan and her bridal party in the cottages where they were staying in Common Barn Farm, Rainow. Nails were being painted, breakfast was being eaten and they were all dressed in gorgeous matching floral robes, taking turns to get their hair and makeup done. I found welly boots lined up, ready for action later! And if I thought Siobhan was smiley on our first consultation, it was nothing compared to this day – she was absolutely beaming!
Mike and Siobhan were married in a beautiful church, set in the village of Bollington. The cherry blossoms and blue bells were in bloom and it was here they said their vows with their dearest family and friends as witnesses, before heading back to Common Barn Farm to celebrate in their amazingly decorated Tipi! Fairy lights and bunting were wrapped around beams and draped across the ceiling – it was like stepping in to another world!
With everyone gathered together inside, keeping warm around the fire pit, it was time for the girls to get their wellies on! The views outside were just as beautiful. Although the day started out cold and grey, I think Siobhan and Mike smiled so much that they brought out the sun! Over the hills you could see for miles and miles. It was such a perfect setting for their perfect day, finished off beautifully with some amazing live music inside the tipi.
Here are some of my favourite photographs from their day. I could have chosen SO many more! I hope you enjoy looking through them as much as I enjoyed taking them! xxx
