Last weeks blog post involved tipis, rolling hills and welly boots. This week, we have a more classical style wedding at Hyde Bank Farm. So here we have it – the beautiful wedding of Lucibeth + Andy <3
After exchanging emails back and forth for a few weeks, I was so excited to meet with them both! And I was not left disappointed. It was a beautiful day in sunny Manchester (Yes! That does happen sometimes!) And we met at Duttons in the City Centre, where I was greeted with lovely hugs and smiles. Sat outside with our lovely cold drinks, we began to discuss their wedding plans. Hoping at praying that the weather would be this beautiful for their wedding day! As you will see from the photographs below – they got their wish 🙂
Lucibeth and Andy had chosen to get ready at some beautiful cottages, just across the river from their main wedding venue; Hyde Bank Farm in Stockport, Cheshire, where they would later say their vows and hold their celebrations. I had not photographed a wedding at Hyde Bank Farm here before, which was exciting in itself! I absolutely love new surroundings – it’s where my creativity thrives!
On my arrival at the cottages in the morning of their wedding, the scene was just picture perfect. Some of the surrounding buildings were draped in purple wisteria. Accompanied by that beautiful freshly cut grass smell, it was like a little piece of Heaven. I first checked in with Lucibeth and the girls, who were all starting to get ready, whilst staying comfortable in their PJ’s. Lucibeth’s sister Danielle was wearing some absolutely amazing Care-Bear pyjamas! (Which I don’t think Lucibeth will ever forgive her for wearing, now that they are in her wedding photographs forever :P) The atmosphere in the girls cottage was brimming with excitement, butterflies, tears and laughs.
Andy and the boys were getting ready in an adjoining cottage, where the atmosphere was slightly more relaxed. (Maybe the Spa they had been using next door had something to do with it?) The ironing board was out, the TV was on, and the Disaronno was open. I popped back and forth between the cottages until everybody was ready to leave, then arrived at Hyde Bank Farm just as Lucibeth and her Mum were pulling up in a beautiful white classic car, underneath the gorgeous Horse Chestnut tree.
The ceremony was incredibly emotional. Watching the two of them together, it was so clear to see how in love they truly were. From little acts of love, like wiping away each others tears, to loving glances and smiles at each other, I felt so privileged to have witnessed and captured their beautiful day in it’s entirety.
The decoration throughout the day was nothing short of spectacular. Glamorous, rustic, elegant, chique & classic all at the same time. Guests had free roam of the beautiful grounds at Hyde Bank Farm, where they were greeted by the resident pony’s and donkey! The entire day was run beautifully, from the ceremony the Wedding Breakfast, right through to the evening reception. Just flawless.
With the first dance approaching, it was time to for me to document something genuinely heart felt.
As the first dance began, the very nearest and dearest men in the family, each took to the dance floor to dance with Lucibeth. Due to the very sad passing of her Father, this was a beautiful way to honour his absence. And as the song was ending, she was handed back to her new husband Andy, where they finished their dance with each other.
It was a stunning finish to an incredible day.
