This beautiful Didsbury House Hotel wedding was held just three days before Christmas, and the sun was actually shining in Manchester. (Proof that it doesn’t just rain here – hehe!) You could really feel the love and pride radiating from every single person in attendance that day… some travelled from half way across the world to be there – and boy was it worth it!
I first met Cat + Anthony for their engagement shoot in Manchester City Centre. This is where I learned all about their love for Manchester, each other, and their two beautiful children. So after discovering how much they adore the city life and all of the beautiful architecture Manchester has to offer, I could see why Didsbury Hotel Hotel was the PERFECT choice for their wedding day celebrations. It offers the perfect combination of luxury, chic and urban all set in a stunning Victorian townhouse just on the outskirts of Manchester City Centre.
Cat held her morning preparations at Didsbury House, with her two boys, family and bridal party in tow. All of the children were kept busy with individual lego figurines to build. (Such a great idea!) These were then popped in to ‘baubles’ for them to carry down the aisle. Being so close to Christmas, there were subtle and beautiful festive touches throughout the day, and the children were all so excited! (… the adults were too!)
However, Christmas certainly didn’t take over. From their beautiful florals to their very dapper groomsmen suits, as well as other personal touches throughout, Cat + Anthony definitely put their individual stamp on the day! After their lovely heartfelt ceremony, their guests were in for a treat. It was time to pop the prosecco and fire up the BBQ (SO GOOD!) Soon after, guests were gathered around the gorgeous central staircase for the speeches, before the mince pies were served and the magic began! Quite literally – the magician that is Sam Fitton, wowed all of the guests (and me!) with his incredible magic. Guest entertainment at it’s finest!
Children are FANtastic at weddings, and there were quite a few in attendance at this Didsbury House Hotel wedding. So with Sam the magician keeping the adults busy, it meant only one thing. Childrens disco hour! Cue glow sticks, reindeer ring toss and Disney songs galore. Some of the adults got in on the action too – and who can blame them really…!
With the evening drawing to a close, Cat + Anthony took to the dance floor for their first dance. Before long, their two boys joined in for some squishy family cuddles. Such a perfect ending to their perfect day!
